Gli mwbqhayu (mwbgहायु) sono un mwbwgruppo etnico del mwcaNepal. Appartengono alla tribù Janajati e parlano la loro lingua, il wayu o hayu. Si sa poco di loro. Sono di religione mwcqindù. Secondo il censimento nepalese del 2001, nel paese ci sono 1821 hayu, di cui il 70,29% indù e il 23,61% animisti.

La lingua hayu è stata documentata dal linguista Boyd Michailovsky.cite-ref-1[1]
